Tickets & Passes

How do I purchase tickets or passes?
You can purchase passes here or individual tickets through the venues website here.

What’s the difference between a pass and a single ticket?
A pass gets you all access to the entire festival, every panel and screening. A ticket is just for the specific event or block you chose.

Can I buy tickets at the door?
Yes you can.

Are tickets refundable or transferable?
No, they are not.

Do I need to print my ticket, or can I show it on my phone?
You can show your ticket on your phone.

Screenings & Programming

Where can I find the full schedule of films?
You can find the 2025 schedule here.

How do I know which films still have tickets available?
If tickets are available for purchase, there is room in the theatre.

Are screenings assigned seating or general admission?
General admission.

What happens if a screening sells out?
We will be thrilled!

Will there be Q&A sessions with filmmakers?
Yes, please refer to the yearly program for more information about which filmmakers to expect.

Venues & Access

What venues are being used for the festival?
Our main festival is held at The Capitol Theatre in Arlington, MA.

Is there parking near the venues?
There is lots of street parking.

Are the venues wheelchair accessible?
The venue is wheelchair accessible.

How early should I arrive for a screening?
We recommend arriving 10 minutes early to each screening to have time to buy refreshments and settle in.

Are late arrivals allowed into screenings?
Late arrivals will not be allowed into screenings.

Filmmakers & Submissions

How can I submit my film to the festival?
You can submit through filmfreeway.com

When do submissions open and close?
Submissions generally open around January and close around June. Please check Film Freeway for specific dates.

What are the eligibility requirements for submissions?
Your film must be made by real people and finished in the last two years.

Do filmmakers receive complimentary tickets or passes?
Filmmakers all receive a complimentary ticket and +1 to their screening.

Travel & Accommodations

Are there partner hotels or discounts for attendees?
Unfortunately right now we do not have any discounts to offer filmmakers but we are hoping that will change.

Are you able to help with travel fees?
Unfortunately right now we are unable to help with travel fees but we are hoping that will change.

How do I get to the festival by public transit?
Please consult https://www.mbta.com/ for public transit information.

Do you provide shuttles between venues?
We do not provide shuttles between venues at this time.

Press & Industry

How can I apply for a press pass?

Are there industry-only events?
Occasionally we do VIP events.

Who do I contact for interview requests?

Policies

Are food and drinks allowed in the theaters?
No outside food and drink are allowed in the theatre.

Are children allowed at screenings?
Yes, children are allowed in the screenings.

Can I take photos or record during the films?

No photos or videos allowed during the films please.

What if a film is canceled or rescheduled?
In the event we have to cancel or reschedule a film our email list will be alerted and our social media will be updated. If an entire showing or block is cancelled you will be refunded.

Filmmakers 

I was just notified that I was accepted to the festival, when can I announce it?
You can announce your acceptance immediately! Feel free to tag us @arlingtonfilmfest 

How many times will you screen my film?
Your acceptance guarantees one screening. Occasionally we will re-screen films for our yearly programming. We will reach out to you if that’s the case.
